"Running traps" as usual, next to our campsite. We had a capture
rate ~40% this year. Last year it was ~50%. All captures were
deermice (Peromyscus), mostly youngsters from this year.

Our major hike Saturday, all the way down to Dusty Lake,
and then a series of smaller lakes to the SE.

An elusive, temporary pond north of Crystal Lake. ~4 years ago, we saw a bunch
of high school kids jumping off the cliff seen here into the water. In several
subsequent years, pond was completely dry during our visits.
